Enhanced sound range
Many headphones operate from 20-20,000 Hertz. We expand that range to 6-21,000Hz, for greater clarity and detail across the audible spectrum, for a more sensory experience of bass you can feel.
-
Energy-dense Neodymium™ magnets
Their high magnetic flux density creates a strong and uniform magnetic field for lower distortion and greater accuracy, delivering crisp treble, clear midrange, and deep, well-defined bass.
-
Masterfully tuned and balanced
Our loudspeakers are left-right matched to 0.5dB to accurately recreate the recorded soundstage and to reduce spectral smearing, delivering a more natural, realistic and precisely balanced listening experience.
-
Digital signal processor for optimised audio
Our DSP optimises the audio signal and equalises the speaker driver. This amplifies and attenuates the spectrum, and neutralises harmonic distortion. So you can hear music the way the artist intended.
Enhanced sound range – 6Hz to 21kHz
Most headphones operate on a frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hertz. Our technology expands that range, from 6 Hertz at the low end to 21,000 Hertz at the top.
So they achieve greater clarity across the audible portion of the spectrum.
-
Noise control settings
Full Isolation or Transparency modes, for maximum noise cancellation or to amplify surrounding noise.
Reduced modes soften the impact to let in more noise if it’s too quiet, or tone down external sounds when they’re too distracting.
-
Real-time sound tracking
Continuously monitors in-ear and external volume, and indicates potentially harmful levels through live reports in the MyDyson™ app.* Review historical data to build up a picture of pollution around you.
-
Auto off function
Automatically switches off after 30 minutes without being used, to preserve battery life.
Reduced Isolation and Transparency modes now available for Android devices. Coming soon for iOS.

FAQ
How long do Dyson OnTrac™ headphones take to fully charge?
Dyson OnTrac™ headphones take just 3 hours to fully charge and give you up to 55 hours of listening¹, even with ANC switched on. Quick charging capability delivers up to 2.5 hours of listening from 10 minutes of charging, or up to 9 hours from a 30-minute charge.
How does the head detect functionality work?
Sensors in the ear cups can tell when they’re removed from the ears and pause your audio, so you save energy without missing a beat. The audio resumes automatically once you put your headphones back on.
The headphones automatically switch off after 30 minutes without being used, to preserve battery life.
If your head detect functionality isn’t active, recalibrate your headphones in the MyDyson™ app.
Are the Dyson OnTrac™ headphones fully customisable?
You can currently choose from four colour combinations, CNC Copper, CNC Aluminium, CNC Black Nickel and Ceramic Cinnabar, of which the latter two are exclusive to Dyson.
They can be customised by purchasing more cushions and outer caps separately, in a variety of colours, materials and finishes, to make them your own.
Use the online 360 visualiser to mix and match different ear cushions and outer caps.
What is an enhanced sound range?
Custom-built 40mm, 16-ohm neodymium speaker drivers deliver an expanded frequency range, to reveal expanded sub-bass and high-end brilliance, for a richer experience from every note. Most headphones operate on a frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hertz. Our technology expands that range, from 6 Hertz at the low end to 21,000 Hertz at the top.
How have the Dyson OnTrac™ headphones been engineered for all day comfort?
Soft microfibre ear cushions, even weight distribution and optimised clamp force mean you can enjoy your music all day long. Tested on a wide range of head sizes, to mould to your ears and seal in sound, without squashing your ears.
What are the different noise control modes?
Full isolation mode: The maximum level of Active noise cancellation (ANC), reducing surrounding noise.
Reduced isolation mode: Allows a little external noise through. Ideal in silent spaces if the full mode feels too quiet.
For iOS users, Reduced isolation will be available in 2025.
Full transparency mode: Hear outside noise to stay aware of your surroundings.
Reduced transparency mode: Tones down the outside noise when the surrounding sounds are a little too distracting.
For iOS users, Reduced transparency will be available in 2025.
Off: This deactivates the ANC. The ear cups still provide a natural reduction of noise (Passive noise cancellation).
Double tapping on either ear cup switches between Isolation and Transparency. The default setting is Full isolation and Full transparency.
Use the MyDyson™ app to set your preferences or to turn off noise control.
What’s the benefit of real-time sound tracking?
Monitoring in-ear and external volume can help identify potentially harmful audio levels. The MyDyson™ app can compile historical data to build up a picture of noise pollution around you, so you know which areas present consistent issues.
Can the equaliser (EQ) be adjusted?
Dyson OnTrac™ headphones feature three preset EQ settings and a Custom EQ setting controlled in the MyDyson™ app.
Preset EQ settings, balanced by our audio engineers for ideal listening to a range of genres:
Enhanced (default mode) – carefully tuned for a rich, balanced sound.
Bass boost – a heavier sound with strong bass.
Neutral – a generally flatter sound with less bass.
Custom EQ: Individually adjust the levels of five frequency bands to tailor sound the way you want it.
How do Dyson OnTrac™ headphones achieve best-in-class noise cancellation?
8 Active Noise Cancelling microphones sense outside sounds 384,000 times a second. Combined with passive attenuation, they cancel up to 40dB of unwanted noise, for fully-immersive listening.
Can the Dyson OnTrac™ headphones be used for travel or on flights?
Yes, you can use the Dyson In-flight adaptor (available separately from Dyson) to connect your Dyson OnTrac™ wireless headphones to most airline entertainment systems.
Connect the in-flight cable to the 2-pin adaptor, then plug into the plane's entertainment system via the audio port. The In-flight adaptor will only charge your Dyson OnTrac™ wireless headphones when the USB-C cable is also used.
Please note that the audio controls on your Dyson OnTrac™ wireless headphones will not function when the In-flight adaptor is in use.
Can I use the headphones without connecting to the MyDyson™ app?
For full use of features and the best audio experience, we recommend connecting via the MyDyson™ app to control Equaliser settings, monitor real-time sound tracking, toggle through ANC modes, troubleshoot, and get support. You will also receive automatic software updates throughout the life of the headphones.
Users can connect the Dyson OnTrac™ headphones to a Bluetooth® enabled device and listen to music without the MyDyson™ app, but don’t have access to full functionality.
Do the Dyson OnTrac™ headphones fold flat?
Gimbal arms allow the ear cups to be rotated so the headphones fold flat. With a slimline, protective case for easy transportation.
